Neal Haughton's Wedding: June 18, 2010

Neal Haughton, HC Matcon's operations manager, celebrated his wedding to Jennifer Bradley last weekend. Pictured below with the happy couple is Jason Weck, from RWH Engineering, who was the best man, and Kristie Holmberg, who was a brides maid.

Friends and family gathered together in Calgary on the eve of the Grey Cup to celebrate HCM Contractors 3rd annual company Christmas party. Hosted at a hotel close to our new office and shop, drinks, dinner and dancing were enjoyed by all. Also in attendance were several visitors from HC Matcon in Ontario.

During its short existence, HCM has grown impressively. 2009 has seen the completion of several major projects as well as the move to a newer and larger location for our office and shop.

Company Party and Martin's 50th Birthday

Friends, co-workers, and family gathered this August at company president Martin Halliwell's acreage on the outskirts of Cambridge, Ontario to celebrate HC Matcon’s annual company party. This year the party coincided with Martin’s 50th birthday. The party was a great success, despite a sprinkling of rain, and fun was had by all.

Although primarily a company celebration for our Ontario division, several employees from our Calgary location were able to attend. Also in attendance were Martin’s mother Annabelle and his brother and three sisters. Highlights included a pig roast, live band, volleyball, horseshoe pits, and great conversation with new and old friends alike.

Spring 2009 Graduations

HCM is pleased to congratulate Grant Harris and Michelle Claessens on the successful completion of their university studies.

Grant Harris, an employee for HCM, graduated June 10th with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta. Grant has worked for HCM for several years serving in technical and marketing roles within the company.

Michelle Claessens, Frank Claessens’ daughter, graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Honours Mathematical Sciences and a Fine Arts minor. Frank is HC Matcon's contracts manager and has been with the company since 2008.
